1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the IAFF Local 81 member portal ("Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Service.

2. Eligibility and Account Registration

This Service is available exclusively to:

• Current members of IAFF Local 81
• Active Salt Lake City Fire Department employees
• Individuals who have been approved by union administrators

You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

3. Use of Service

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Share your account credentials with unauthorized individuals
• Engage in any conduct that restricts or inhibits anyone's use of the Service
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service
• Upload or transmit viruses or any other malicious code
• Use automated systems to access the Service without permission

4. Member Services

Shift Trades:

• All shift trades must comply with department policies and procedures
• The union is not responsible for disputes arising from shift trade arrangements
• Members are solely responsible for ensuring proper approvals

Marketplace:

• The union acts only as a platform provider and is not party to transactions
• Buyers and sellers are solely responsible for their transactions
• We reserve the right to remove listings that violate these terms

Uniform Orders:

• Payment is required at time of order
• Refunds and exchanges are subject to vendor policies
• Delivery times are estimates and may vary

5. Payment and Fees

Certain services may require payment. By providing payment information, you represent that you are authorized to use the designated payment method. All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated. We reserve the right to change fees with notice.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by IAFF Local 81 and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. The IAFF logo and Local 81 branding are trademarks and may not be used without permission.

7. User Content

By posting content on the Service, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and display such content in connection with operating the Service. You retain all rights to your content. You are responsible for ensuring that your content does not violate any third-party rights or applicable laws.

8. Privacy

9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless IAFF Local 81, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for any breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Termination of employment or union membership automatically terminates access to member-only features.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Salt Lake County, Utah.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified through the Service or via email. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, such provision shall be struck and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
